November/ December 2025

The festive season has been wonderfully busy here at Fairby Grange, filled with community spirit, music, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

We were delighted to be invited to our local school for a special Christmas party, beautifully hosted by the children with special needs. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and kindness made the afternoon truly memorable for our residents.

Our celebrations continued with a visit from the local Beaver group, who joined us to sing Christmas carols and surprised everyone with a handmade Christmas card. Their energy and thoughtfulness brought big smiles all round.

Back at Fairby Grange, our own Christmas party was a joyful occasion. A fantastic singer entertained us while residents enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies, yule log, and plenty of singing and dancing. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our raffle — together, we raised an amazing £208. Every penny goes directly into our Residents’ Fund, helping us plan future outings and entertainment.

We were also honoured to be invited to Redlibbets Golf Club for yet another festive celebration. It was a lovely opportunity to get out, enjoy the season, and spend time with friends in our wider community.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and generous community. Our residents truly enjoy getting out and about, and these moments of connection mean so much to us all.

From everyone at Fairby Grange, thank you for making this Christmas so special.

August / September 2025

We held our yearly Summer Fete in the front garden - the weather was perfect for a BBQ and a bit of singing and dancing to the entertainer. We raised over £700 which goes into our Resident Fund to help fund outings, entertainers and more. It was lovely seeing so many families spending time with their loved ones.

I’m proud to announce Fairby Grange has been awarded The Gold Standards Framework. We have worked very hard towards this accreditation which is an award for UK's exceptional health and social care providers for care in the final year of life. It is a huge acheivement and we are proud to show off the beautiful plaque in the reception area.

We have been out and about to our local park for a brew in the sunshine and to our friends at The Hollies in Gravesend to join in with their musical bingo afternoon and our usual monthly quiz. I am pleased to say - WE WON!! Yay!!

July 2025

We visited a The Fenn Bell Zoo near Allhallows to see the lemurs and various other animals. Plenty of birds and animals to see there and thankfully a little cafe to sit and have a coffee after all the walking round. A well needed rest!!

We had our usual monthly visit from Tiny Tigers, but this time we enjoyed playing out in the garden as the weather was so lovely. We love seeing the little ones play and have fun. We feel like big kids all over again.

Some of us went to Redlibbets Golf Club with the ADSS Club, for coffe & biscuits and quizzes and sing a longs. It’s a lovely place to visit overlooing the golf course and nice to mingle with other new faces.

Great news - we finally won back the trophey for the Monthly Quiz we have with The Hollies Care Home. We were thrilled !!
