Introduction
|
|
Fairby
Grange is a beautiful manor house built circa 1685 and stands in almost
an acre of well tendered gardens in the pretty village of Hartley.
We are registered with the Kent County Council for the
care of up to thirty residents and cooperate with them in every way to
maintain our very high standards of care and comfort for our residents.
All of the village amenities, including Post Office,
Country Club, Library, Women's Institute and two church halls, are only
yards away and a bus stop outside the entrance.
Fairby Grange has been tastefully modernised and
extended over the years, yet retains the warm and 'olde worlde' charm so
popular with our residents and their visitors.
|
Our
matron, Valerie Russell, is a qualified nurse and has been with us for
many years, as have many of our staff and residents.
|
Aims
|
|
Our main objective is to ensure that our
residents at Fairby Grange feel 'at home'. We therefore strive to
create a warm, friendly caring environment, and treat each of them as
individuals. We respect their need for privacy, dignity and their
wishes to maintain as high a level of independence as possible. |
Activities
|
|
We encourage residents to pursue any
hobbies or activities they may wish and our staff are always willing to
assist where possible. We also have our own minibus, fitted with a
wheelchair lift and safety belts, with which we take residents on
outings during the summer months. |
The Bedrooms
|
|
 |
The bedrooms are mainly single with three twin rooms and are all
tastefully
furnished, providing private space and comfort for each resident. All
have fitted carpets, wash hand basins and are centrally
heated. |
|
|
Some of our rooms also have the benefit of an en-suite
WC. The first floor bedrooms are accessible by a beautiful wide
oak staircase where a stair lift is also provided. |
The Lounges
|
|
We
have a lovely oak paneled reception lounge where residents like to sit and
chat or entertain their guests.
There is also a large television lounge
with beautiful bay windows and a further small quiet sitting room.

The
Dining Room
|
|

Our spacious dining overlooks the rear patio and garden, which is accessible through patio doors. The room is very well lit with natural light through a feature skylight. Whilst the room is used for serving all meals, it is also used for games activities.
