May & June 2025

Now the sun is finally here we are getting out and about more , visiting Gravesend Promonade for an ice cream, Camer Park for a cuppa and our usual Tuesday club where we sing and play quizzes.

We had a new entertainer visit us in June who played the banjo. He’s so talented and kept us all on our toes with his lovely music.

We celebrated VE Day in style with a lovely lunch followed by an entertainer in the afternoon where there was plenty of singing and dancing.

We had a couple of milestone birthdays, Janet was 90 years old. We had a lovely birthday party for her with singing, dancing and a beautiful cake prepared by our chef.

In May we went on one of our 3 trips on the River Medway. Debbie is our skipper who sailed us down to East Farleigh and back up to Wateringbury. We had lunch on board and played a quiz and sang along whilst slowly sailing down stream. It’s so lovely and peaceful on board - some of us even fell asleep on the way back. Take a look at our photos to see some of us helping the crew with the locks.

March & April 2025

We’ve been out and about to our usual Tuesday club and down to a local swimming pool where we sit in the coffee shop and watch the little ones splashing around in the pool.

We are making plans for VE day and will celebrate it on Thursday 8th May 2025 by having a picnic - hopefully outside if the weather is good for us, followed by a singer to entertain us for the afternoon.

We had a lovely Easter suprise when the children from Tiny Tigers nursery came to Fairby and held an Easter Egg hunt. Nicki placed eggs around the home for the children to find - running in and out of rooms was so much fun. Of course, we all got a lovely chocolate egg at the end of the hunt.

January/February 2025

We’ve been keeping ourselves busy indoors during the colder months by decorating the home ready for Valentines. We had a Saxophonist entertain us on the day where we got up and danced. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to him play - very talented indeed.

During February we popped along for our monthly visit to Red Libbets Golf Club where we play games, quizzes and of course enjoy coffee and biscuits.

We missed out on winning the Quiz trophey this month. The Hollies beat us by a few points. Better luck next month Fairby. We still enjoy getting out and chatting with our friends at The Hollies though.

We had a lovely young lady on a weeks placement during February who got involved with activities and getting to know our residents. She thoroughtly enjoyed her time with us and said she will be coming back to see us in her school holidays.

We’ve already celebrated 2 birthdays so far, including our lovely Anthony being 95 this year.

Our monthly visit from Tiny Tigers Pre-School is always a real treat for us. We got our Interactive Table out for them to play on. They bring so much fun to the home and we love having them here with us.
