All of our staff are carefully chosen for their friendliness and their understanding of the needs of our residents and we always check references thoroughly. We actively encourage and support further training for all of our care staff, the majority of who have achieved NVQ Level 2 in care. Several of our staff have also achieved NVQ Level 3 in care.
Our Manager, Karen Cooper, has been with us since 2015, and during this time, she has helped establish an excellent team of staff who are very well trained and supervised. Karen knows all of our residents and their families very well indeed and works with them and other agencies to ensure that we meet all of our residents’ needs.
We also have Senior Care Assistants who are very supportive of the manager and they also work closely with other care staff and residents to help ensure our residents receive the very best of care possible.
Other care staff help to cover the 24 hour period, both day and night, and are responsible for delivering the best of care to all of our residents. Many of these are also trained to NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in care.
We have two cooks, Bob and Libby , who, between them cover the week preparing a wide variety of traditional home cooked food which is both tasty and well presented. We have been awarded with the 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating as a result of their hard work and high standards.
Mel, our ‘Activities Co-ordinator’ organises a wide range of activities to suit the capabilities and interests of our residents. Mel has gained her NVQ Level 2 and understands very well the needs of our residents. Mel is passionate about involving our residents in the community of Hartley. We visit a Knit & Knatter get-together twice a month, have visits from a local Children's Nursery and attend various meetings at our local Village ChurchHhall and Community Centre.
The cleaning at Fairby Grange is done to a very high standard by our domestic staff. Two have achieved NVQ level 2 in domestic Hygiene.
