Fairby Grange

All of our staff are are carefully chosen for their friendliness  and their understanding of the needs of our residents and we always check references thoroughly.  We actively encourage and support further training for all of our care staff, the majority of who have achieved NVQ Level 2 in care. Several of our staff have also achieved NVQ Level 3 in care.

Our Manager, Christine Brent, has been with us since 2005 and, during this time, she has helped establish an excellent team of staff who are very well trained and supervised.  Christine knows all of our residents and their families very well indeed and works with them and other agencies to ensure that we meet all of our residents’ needs.

We also have two Senior Care Assistants, Christine and Valerie, who have both been with us for many years and are very supportive of the manager and they also work closely with other care staff and residents to help ensure our residents receive the very best of care possible.

Other care staff help to cover the 24 hour period, both day and night, and are responsible for delivering the best of care to all of our residents.  Many of these are also trained to NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in care.

We have two cooks, Lorraine and Marian, who, between them cover the week preparing a wide variety of traditional home cooked food which is both tasty and well presented.

Janet, our ‘Activities Co-ordinator’ works three hours daily Monday to Friday.  She organises a wide range of activities daily to suite the capabilities and interests of our residents. Janet is also trained to NVQ Level 3 in care so understands very well the needs of our residents.

The cleaning at Fairby Grange is done to a very high standard by our domestic staff, who have all achieved NVQ level 2 in domestic Hygiene.
